DJ & MC Services at Palos Verdes
Golf Club

Palos Verdes Golf Club feels open and expansive, without ever losing its sense of calm. The views stretch out over the course and ocean, but the space itself stays grounded—easy to settle into.

It’s the kind of venue where nothing needs to be forced. The setting does a lot of the work, and, when handled correctly, the night unfolds naturally.

The space feels welcoming, calm, and intentionally unpretentious — perfect for couples who want a refined celebration without anything feeling stiff or overproduced.

Having DJ’d weddings here, I’ve learned how important it is to support that flow — keeping the relaxed atmosphere intact while building the energy toward a full dance floor later in the night.

As a preferred vendor at Palos Verdes Golf Club, I’m familiar with the venue’s layout, sound considerations, and the team that helps events run smoothly. "Smooth" is an essential theme I bring to all my weddings throughout Los Angeles.

Lawn Ceremony Overlooking the Course & Ocean

Ceremonies are held on the outdoor lawn just beyond the iron gates, steps away from the valet arrival.

The setting is open and scenic, with golf course and ocean views creating a clean, unobstructed backdrop.

Because the space is protected by the property layout, audio carries cleanly and comfortably without wind or outside noise becoming a factor. By positioning the speaker out of the ceremony sightline and carefully balancing the levels, the sound carries cleanly to every seat without disrupting the setting.

After the ceremony, guests move easily between the ceremony lawn, and the main lobby, where the indoor bar sits.

Most weddings here start on the lawn and move naturally inside as the night builds.
That transition—from open air to the welcoming atmosphere of the clubhouse—is where the tone of the night really takes shape.

When it’s handled right, guests follow the energy and don’t feel a shift.

Cocktail Hour Flow: Lawn to Lobby

Receptions normally take place inside the ballroom, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the course and coastline.

Inside the ballroom, everything tightens up in the best way.
The sound becomes more focused, the energy more contained, and the dance floor builds without needing to push it.

With the bar and lobby just steps away, people can move freely—but the momentum always pulls them back in.

Ballroom Reception with Ocean-Facing Windows

What stands out here is how easy the night feels.
Nothing feels rushed or over-directed, and guests settle in quickly without needing much guidance. This is why couples often choose Palos Verdes Golf Club.

It’s not a venue where you have to create the atmosphere from scratch. Similar to what you see in ocean-facing venues like Bel-Air Bay Club, the light becomes part of the experience. When couples and the vendors recognize that, they are able to help support that energy, not work against it.

This is a venue where subtle decisions make the biggest difference.

A Naturally Relaxed Celebration

Planners here tend to prioritize flow over spectacle.
The focus is on pacing, comfort, and letting the night breathe.

Working with planners like Mel Lovell of XOXO Weddings makes a noticeable difference in how the night unfolds. Mel keeps the couple’s experience at the center while staying both relaxed and prompt—an impactful combination that landed XOXO Weddings on PVGC preferred vendor list.

My role is to stay aligned with the planner—supporting transitions and timing while knowing when to step in and drive the energy forward.

Planner Priorities: Smooth & Effortless

The vibe here is relaxed, exclusive, welcoming, and naturally celebratory. Uplighting can bring ambiance to the ballroom as the sunsets, transforming the space while maintaining its warmth.

Guests feel taken care of without feeling managed. The staff are attentive but unobtrusive, and the layout allows for easy movement between the ballroom, lobby, and bar.

Carefully curated music and volume control, paired with mixing live during dinner allows the dance floor to come alive all at once! As the lighting shifts and the music opens up, the room transitions naturally into a full dance floor.

One thing I’ve learned here is that less volume early on goes a long way.
Because the space is so naturally calm, keeping things understated during cocktails makes the shift into dancing feel much bigger later.

The Energy at Palos Verdes Golf Club

What makes Palos Verdes Golf Club stand out is how balanced it feels.

You get the openness of a coastal venue without the unpredictability that usually comes with it, paired with unstiff elegance.

With the right DJ/MC, the night unfolds naturally, with the energy capable of shifting in a way that feels seamless and supported.

It feels like a private, coastal country club celebration rather than a staged event.
