My Style
Music is energy. Selecting the right track at the right moment is the first step. Once that is established, it's about moving through that energy to hold the crowd. That's where mixing comes in. Blending the original tracks live allows for one-of-a-kind mixes that sound great, and keep the dance floor full. A few moments on the mic before chorus' or iconic verse's help to make everyone engaged and in sync with the music.
This mix is a snapshot of how I approach open-format DJing. I selected songs from different genres that complement each other rhythmically and emotionally, focusing on smooth transitions that keep diverse audiences engaged by blending styles naturally and intentionally.
This set was curated for an engagement dinner on the Malibu Pier as the sun set over the ocean. Song selection focused on love songs, California-inspired tracks, and upbeat classics, creating a warm, romantic atmosphere that felt celebratory without overpowering the moment.
This live set highlights how I balance client must-haves and requests while reading the dance floor in real time. Each song is placed intentionally, focusing on when to play it and how to blend it seamlessly to keep energy high and the room engaged.
This 50-minute live mix captures a private event designed to feel like a club environment. The set focuses on sustained energy and tight transitions, while remaining flexible to the room. Ending with R&B as the energy naturally shifted on the dance floor, the guest of honor's favorite!
This 20-minute disco set was created for guests of honor who love disco and funk. While I typically move across genres, the room was locked into the groove, so I stayed with it, leaning into the energy and letting the music ride.
